Examination of teeth, gums and mucous membranes, including a discussion of the next steps.

The amounts below are final prices including VAT and are based on the SSO dental tariff. Variations arise from the duration of treatment, the number of surfaces and laboratory costs for crowns or dentures. From around CHF 500.– you receive a written cost estimate beforehand.

Asked before the first appointment
These questions come almost exclusively from people who have never been to us — often on the phone, before they even mention an appointment. We are happy to answer them, because nobody should postpone treatment over an open question about costs. Nadine Koller at reception is available for information at any time.
What will my first appointment cost?
A check-up with findings is CHF 95.–, with two X-rays around CHF 165.–. We only treat at the first visit if you are in pain or expressly wish it. Further steps are discussed in advance.
Do you invoice according to the SSO tariff?
Yes, we use the SSO dental tariff with a fixed tax point value. Every item is listed individually on the invoice and is traceable. If you have questions, we will go through the items with you.
How long is a cost estimate valid?
As a rule six months, after which we review the findings and laboratory prices again. You are not committed to anything, even if you sign and send it back and later change your mind. If you have supplementary insurance, submit it before treatment begins.
Can the amount change during treatment?
That does happen, for instance if there is more caries under an old filling than the X-ray showed. We then pause and talk to you before continuing. No additional costs arise without your consent.
Do I have to pay at the practice directly?
No, you receive the invoice at home, payable within thirty days. For larger amounts we can arrange instalments over three to six months on request. Card and cash payment at reception are also possible.
